AUGUSTA PATRIOTS
LACROSSE CLUB
est. 2012
A BRIEF HISTORY
The Augusta Patriots Lacrosse Club was established in 2012. Founded in order to help lacrosse players compete all year-round and achieve the dream of competing in college, the team has grown tremendously since its' inagural campaign. During the first few months of the program, the team competed in their first tournament in October 2012. Playing in the Van Lax Tournament allowed the Patriots to get a feel for the tournament scene and compare how we stacked up against other programs.
In 2013, the coaches witnessed a rapid growth of the sport and realized that there needed to be a formal tryout procedure due to the increasing talent in the Augusta area. After holding the inagural tryouts and registering for tournaments, the Augusta Patriots Lacrosse Club formed a team that would compete against some of the best teams in the Southeast all summer.
The Augusta Patriots brings three rival schools (Evans, Lakeside, and Greenbrier) together as one team. During their respective high school seasons, the players of these schools have an intense hatred for one another on the field, but in the summer they are able to come together to work towards a common goal of being successful on and off the playing field.
